The Macbook Air is 2.9lbs, not 2.3lbs. And how can you say “Macbook Air 13″ is the clear winner from design and performance…” but earlier you said the Vostro has the edge in terms of processing speed. A core i5 should easily beat the Core2Duo the MacBook Air has. At half the price, I think the Vostro is the winner. Half the price, more cpu, slightly less screen resolution but about the same chassis size.

you seem to be comparing Vostro V130 with 13″ MacBook Air in some aspects, and 11″ with another. 13″ macbook air weight starts at 2.9lbs, so not that much below V130. Also, “obvious edge in processing power” depend on spec of Air, because 2.13 Ghz Core 2 Duo Air will be faster than 1.44 Core i3…

I got it at bestbuy nice bang for the price. Wifi works great Good battery life. Its kind of heavy and touchpad sucks for gaming i recommend an external mouse. But im overall very satisfied with the labtop.

Having had the LT3103u netbook, I liked Gateay again. Finding myself needing a new laptop, saw this model at Best Buy, and figured “Why not?” Having had it for three weeks, I whole-hartedly recommend this unit. I came from many years of HP equipment, and would not hesitate to buy this unit again.
